Grand Larceny in the first degree is the most serious type of grand larceny that is charged in New York State court. Because of the severity, a long prison sentence is a very real danger. The technical sentencing is indeterminate meaning that you must do a range, not a specific amount of years. The minimum is 1 to 3 years, the maximum is 8.3 to 25 years.
